CANDIDATE SERVICES

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  1. Is there a fee associated with your service?
All of our recruiting services to candidates are free. Our fees are paid by the companies we represent.

  2. Do I need to have a resume?
No. Pioneer has resume writers on staff that can assist in creating or enhancing your resume. A copy will be provided to you, once it is completed.

  3. How long is the typical interviewing cycle?
We have experienced companies that have made hires within seven days, and interviews that go up to 2 months. On average the typical interviewing cycle lasts two to three weeks.

  4. What exactly is the role of a recruiter?
The recruiter has several roles which includes introducing and representing you with pre-selected companies based on your experiences and requirements. Additionally, your recruiter will assist with setting up interviews, offer negotiations and relocation. At Pioneer, your recruiter will work in the role as a career counselor and industry expert than can assist with ongoing career decisions.

  5. Should I maximize my chances by having multiple recruiters send my resume to a company?
Most companies will only accept a resume once in two years. In addition, if a company receives a resume from multiple sources, it further complicates the process and at times can cause the client to discard the resume. It is important to document which recruiter has sent your resume to which client and to alert any other recruiters that you have already been presented to the particular companies.

  6. Do I have to work with only one recruiter?
Some recruiters may require that you work with them exclusively. If you choose this option, it is important that you stay in contact with your recruiter and work on the opportunities aggressively. If the recruiter is presenting you to companies that you truly have a desire to work for and is able to open doors for you, this level of partnership can be a win-win for both parties.

  7. Can I relocate to another state and will the company relocate me?
Yes. Pioneer can assist with your relocation and we do represent several companies that will relocate an individual. Relocation is typically reserved for upper management positions, but not exclusively. Company sponsored relocation is also available on a case by case basis.

  8. How quickly can I get an offer?
The speed of the interviewing cycle depends heavily on the availability of the hiring manager, interviewers and your own availability and flexibility. We do our best to assist with setting up interviews and keeping the process moving.

  9. How do I get started with Pioneer?
To get started with Pioneer, you can register on our website and submit your resume if one is available. We typically respond within 24 hours if you are a match for an open position. Feel free to check our current listings of openings frequently.
